Using iphone for itunes remote9/27/2023 The same is the case with other albums containing symphonies, string quartets, and so on. For example, I have two albums titled A Flock Descends Into the Pentagonal Garden, with music by Toru Takemitsu. I have a lot of classical music in my iTunes library. Even when they’re playing, you see only the beginnings of names (this is true whether you’ve playing music locally or using Remote to control iTunes playback). Unlike the iPod classic, the iPhone and iPod touch don’t scroll names when you select items. If you use Remote to choose albums, and you have lots of albums with similar names, perhaps you’ve noticed that since Remote truncates the names, you aren’t always be able to find what you want. And unlike with a playlist, you can add songs on the fly plus, you can enable the Allow Guests To Request Songs With Remote For iPhone Or iPod Touch option in iTunes and let others at, say, a party request and vote on songs. When you use Remote on your iPhone, and choose iTunes DJ, it will now be free of any music, waiting for you to add to it exactly what you want to hear. From the Source menu, choose your empty playlist. Click on iTunes DJ in the iTunes sidebar and then look at the bottom of the window. To do so, create an empty playlist in iTunes on your Mac and name it something like iTunes DJ (Remote). If you use iTunes DJ remotely often, making sure that it starts out empty is useful, so you don’t have to delete songs to fill it with what you want to listen to. Usually, when you choose iTunes DJ from the Playlists list in the Remote app, you’ll find it populated by either your last musical selections, or by a random bunch of songs from your music library. However, iTunes DJ, by default, never wants to be empty. With Remote app, you don’t need to be in front of your Mac to queue up what you want to hear, and you can stream music to an AirPort Express or an Apple TV. When you go to your device, it will ask if you want to trust that computer (meaning your own PC).say yes.But iTunes DJ is also a great way to set up a listening list for a party, dinner, or a relaxing evening on the deck. I am not good at IT but it took me months to find a solution by trial and error and now it works! Yaaay! By magic, the "Remote" app will show your iTunes library and you're ready to roll! When you go to your device, it will ask if you want to trust that computer (meaning your own PC).say yes. Step 4: Click "Apply" or "Save" or whatever your router tells you to do and you're done! *NOTE: You can only allow one at a time, so you have to select one and let it be accepted, then go back and do any others individually. Step 3: Click that button and you will see a list of wireless devices that are detected, for example iPhone, iPad etc. (For example, in Sky, it's called "Wireless Station Access List" and has a blue button next to it called "Setup Access List". Step 2: Look for a button that lets you set up wireless access to your devices. Step 1: Log on to your router from the provider's online page (for example Sky or BT router settings) *WARNING: If you are scared to mess with settings, let someone else do it for you. The problem is with the firewall settings on your router (wireless router settings that you have to sign into as administrator online). I did a geeky thing: The problem is NOT with your Windows Firewall. Remote app for iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch can't connect to iTunes or Apple TV If needed, here is also an article to help troubleshoot the App and Home Sharing connectivity: Show Status Bar - Choose View > Show Status Bar (this feature will conveniently display the number of items and playback time for a category, for example, music or movies).Show Sidebar - Choose View > Show Sidebar (this feature will display iTunes features on the left side of the application including Library, Store, Shared, Genius, and Playlists). In iTunes 11 you have the option to turn the Sidebar and the Status Bar on or off they are off by default. Once you tap Add an iTunes Library in the remote app, and you see the passcode, the phone should appear as a device in the sidebar on the left of iTunes if you have it showing. Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!
